John Mould wins NFDC Demolition Man of the Year 2016

Congratulations to John Mould, who won Demolition Man of the Year. This prestigious award is confirmation of his decades of hard work and dedication. This is a great achievement and we’re all very proud of him.

John received his trophy at the NFDC (National Federation of Demolition Contractors) AGM and Demolition Awards Luncheon at The Dorchester, London earlier this year. On the day of the announcement, the NFDC tweeted “Rightly so, the Man of the Year award was picked up by John Mould”.John-Mould-Demo-Man

John says, “It was a big surprise. I was really happy to receive this award. It was extra special as the NFDC was celebrating their 75th anniversary and I also turned 75 this year. I’m thrilled to be voted Man of the Year by the NFDC panel.”

According to the NFDC award guidelines, the Demolition Man of the Year is awarded to “someone who has made a significant contribution to the demolition industry…and played a major role”. J Mould Reading has a strong reputation in our industry, and John himself is very much respected and admired due to his commitment to high standards and ethical approach to business.

As luck would have it, John’s favourite pop star, Rod Stewart, happened to be staying at The Dorchester at the same time. He was in the UK on tour and promoting his latest platinum-selling album. “I bumped into Rod at The Dorchester and got my picture taken with him. I couldn’t ask for more really. I have met him once before when we were both in our twenties. It was great to see him again. The chance meeting was the perfect end to a perfect day.”
