WHAT WE MOVE
Fifty-seven years moving plant, machinery and waste on our own vehicles. HIAB cranes with 53ft of reach, low loaders carrying up to 50 tonnes, and walking floor trailers at 130 cubic yards, all run from our yard at Reading Quarry.
Plant Haulage
HIAB, low loader and walking floor haulage, run from a fleet of more than 45 HGVs at Reading Quarry, with fifty-seven years of haulage behind it.
We have team of over 150 staff, and our drivers hold the tickets for abnormal loads and lifting operations, and they plan the route before the vehicle moves.
A 53ft HIAB crane, a low loader carrying up to 50 tonnes, or a 130 cubic yard walking floor trailer. Tell us the machine and the two addresses and we will tell you which one it goes on.
PLANT & MACHINERY
Excavators, loading shovels, crushers, cabins, containers and bulk material, each moved on the vehicle rated to carry it legally and in one movement.
Our Fleet
More than 35 HGVs, from HIAB cranes to walking floor trailers, with FORS accreditation and DVSA Earned Recognition across the fleet.
HIAB Hire
Our HIAB lorries work in confined spaces where a larger vehicle cannot set up, and every lift is rated against the crane's load chart rather than a single headline figure.Lifts are planned before the vehicle leaves the yard: load weight, radius, ground conditions and the space the outriggers need on site.
Low Loader Hire
We check height, width and weight restrictions on the route and access at both ends, and arrange the movement orders where the load needs them.Construction plant, agricultural machinery, containers and vehicles, on 4-axle or 3-axle trailers depending on the load.
How It Works
Tell us what is moving, where from and where to, and when you need it there.
We size the vehicle to the load, allocate a driver from our own fleet, and come back with a price for the movement
We confirm a date and a delivery window, allowing for any statutory notice the load needs before it can travel.
Your load is collected, secured to the DVSA Load Securing Matrix and transported to site.
On the agreed date, anywhere in the UK, with the offload planned before we arrive.
BEFORE YOU BOOK THE MOVEMENT
We run our own quarry and waste operation, so a vehicle taking your machine out can often bring material back, rather than running one leg empty.
The same family have run this site from the start, investing in plant, people and the local community along the way.
DVSA Earned Recognition, CSCS Platinum, NFDC, FORS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 among them, every one checkable before you appoint us
Tippers, bulkers, grab lorries, walking floor, HIAB and low loader, all owned outright, so we set the date and we keep it.
The yard is open from 6:30am Monday to Friday, so plant can be moving before the site opens.
