We demolished the former Wealden House Life Improvement Centre and adjoining offices in Ashurst Wood, near East Grinstead, as the first phase of a proposed residential redevelopment.

Demolition and Site Clearance
The site comprised the former Wealden House Life Improvement Centre and adjoining office accommodation that had become surplus to requirements. J Mould carried out a full demolition and site clearance programme to prepare the brownfield site for residential redevelopment.
The proposed scheme includes 50 new homes, a mix of apartments and houses.
PROJECT OUTCOME
The demolition and site clearance prepared the former Wealden House site for the next stage of the residential redevelopment.

Survey & Planning
We survey the structure, check for asbestos and set the demolition sequence against what the survey finds.

Licensing & Approvals
Section 80 notice, asbestos survey and licensed removal, and the environmental permits the site needs, all in place before work starts.

Site Setup
Hoarding, exclusion zones and services isolated, with every operative briefed on the method statement before they go on

Demolition
The structure comes down to the sequence agreed at survey, by high-reach, machine or hand as the site allows.

Recycling & Clearance
Arisings are crushed and reused on site where the scheme allows, and everything else goes back to our own Materials Recycling Facility.
