Hook was little more than a few scattered farms and coaching inns on the main road to the south-west until 1883, when local landowners won their campaign for a railway station and houses were built for the railway workers. In 1932 Hook became a civil parish of its own, formed from parts of Odiham, Newnham and Nately Scures. More housing followed in the 1960s and 1970s, after the M3 opened nearby in 1971, and Hook has grown rapidly since the 1980s.
Homes from every stage of that growth, from the first railway workers' houses to the 1980s estates, now come up for renovation and clearing. We deliver skips across Hook, RG27, and recycle what we collect at our own facility in Reading.
